Re: Homage to classic Subbuteo HW team catalogue poster

The backing is made from foam card which you can get from most stationers. It's light but rigid and holds the figures really well.

Homage to classic Subbuteo HW team catalogue poster

This is my second display cabinet using foamboard to hold the figures in place. I used a slab of normal foam in my first effort quite a few years ago now, and I found that it wasn't ideal in holding the figures securely as it tended to 'push' the figures out from the display. Plus I wasn't particula...

Unreserved Apology

Hi Guys! First things first. I've taken an enforced sabbatical from coming onto this fantastic forum. Too many personal issues in my home life to bore you with. However, after the last few where I've been trying to sell my HPLW collection, you are all no doubt well aware of some dodgy looking biddin...

All yellow bases are a first for me too. Lovely looking team Mark. I knew I should have spent more time looking through your collection. :guiness:

Re: Ref 132 Alternate version? Any ideas?

Thanks for the considered replies everyone! The stripes on the shirts and the socks are blue not black. I agree with Mark, it's a horrible base combo. It's a shame it isn't green inners with white bases. I won't be listing until the New Year now. It's a shame it can't be identified though. It ...

Ref 132 Alternate version? Any ideas?

Hi Guys, I'm hoping someone can help identify this team. I didn't list it on feebay as I wasn't sure if my assumption that this was an alternate version of Ref 132 or not? I've had it for ages and it came with the box you see it in.Obviously no guarantee that it's the correct box. I was hoping that ...

Re: Well that's a kick in the balls...

Thanks Mark! :guiness: The resemblance is spooky. It's like looking in the mirror! Before any of you wags make a comment, I'm referring to the second photo and not to Harvey Keitel. Anyway, I was forced to wear the 'classic' white Y fronts from M&S by my Mum until I was old enough to shop for...

Re: ONE TO BLOCK

Eddie, sounds like the guy is a complete tw*t! Some bidders seem to think that if they've spent a certain amount on your items that they are then entitled to massive discounts/free postage! They seem to forget that they chose to bid in the first place and it's not the seller's fault that they...

Boy do I feel sheepish!

This is quite embarrassing to admit but after all these years selling on feebay I've only recently just noticed that there was an option to create a postage exclusion list!Doh! :-\ I stupidly thought that if you ticked the countries you were happy to post to, then ergo, any bidder from a different c...

Re: sghe1978

As ever I am late to the party. One point that seems to be overlooked at the moment is the fact that if a buyer is unhappy with their purchase and asks for a refund from the seller and they agree to this (with the help of ebay), you cannot then, as the buyer, leave any negative comments. In f...

It's sad to see him adopting the same selling style (especially the listing photos) as another LW seller 'ianpoker'!

Re: Hereford SSG

Finally I can put a name to the 2 examples that I have in my collection! I asked forum members a while back what the team could be/whether it was genuine etc,. but unfortunately nobody could help at the time. They both looked genuine SSG to me but it's nice to finally solve the mystery. Well ...
