I've got an old Ref 8 that I overpainted with gloss black one day as a kid & I called them the Black Marauders.
At least it wasn't as stupid as when I over painted my Ref 159 & Ref 266 with a gloss blue & pink combo...

Re: Motherwell from Subbuteoworld

If it was originally a Ref 13 why would it be re-based?

Re: horror!!!

Tchaa 4 figures, hideous to look at but popular in the slidy game because they're very well balanced.

Re: celtic 2nd ref 362 query

I always try to remember that they're just little plastic men regardless of the different colour paint on them.
The most I've ever paid for a team was £20 for a Ref 85 heavyweight & the bloke almost had to wrench my fingers apart to make me let go of the note.

Re: Over and out.

When you play Subbuteo & people wander over & start watching they tend to take the hiss, but you can tell they're itching to have a go really.

Re: "Old Subbuteo"

I'll happily play either, prefer the old Subbuteo but there's not as much opportunity to play it so I mainly play slidy.

Re: Clare Grogan

She's on my "girls allowed" list of women I'm allowed to shag without getting in trouble with my wife due to sheer implausibility.
Others include Taylor Swift, Scarlett Johanson & Natalie Portman...

Re: Stadium of Fingers

Spent a fantastic afternoon there yesterday, great fun & an absolutely wonderful host.
Santa Claus throw in figures & corner kickers were my favourite!

All sounds ok, the only bit you missed is Taylor Swift in a bikini handing out the trophies.

Re: Zeugo bases.

Have a look at Mad about games website, he's got a great selection of Zeugo, both kinds of bases & I think they're about a tenner per team.

Re: Flattening the Astro Pitch

Definitely roll it with the playing surface facing out, it will lay flatter without curling up.
