Re: Huddersfield vs Man City

 Cheers! Good to be back again, having a break means coming back to the game with fresh enthusiasm  - as to those quaking goalposts - I blame the equipment (I always do) :-"

Re: Huddersfield vs Man City

Well, well, well. I met this guy at the Subbuteo 'tournament' in Leeds a few years back - he had me stitched up like a kipper - 'I am quite new to this thing, ohh, you play with flat players, where do I get some?' so I sold him a set of cellys cheap, to encourage anyone with interest in the flats. F...

Re: "Old Subbuteo"

Hey guys, BlackpoolRock - I too see it as a thinking game, agree with your sentiments about solo play! Flash - Tournaments are an acquired taste to be sure, having been picked up on three differences in rules in two games, then playing a third game where I was picked up on a change in Rules I had ju...

Re: "Old Subbuteo"

Hello everyone, just returned to this forum after a while and couldn't resist this thread :D A few words in defence of non-tournament and solo play....don't get me wrong playing in a tournament is great for meeting people, especially putting faces to usernames, and making some good friends, but the ...

Re: The Stoke Old Subbuteo Tournament & Fair 20/03/16

Andy, Many thanks for a good day out yesterday. Besides enjoying an opportunity to play Subbuteo again (but must remember to brush up on the 'definitive' rules because there seem to be some different interpretations out there that caught me out a few times!), it was good to pick up a few things fro...

Re: Pro Table Soccer Association

For myself I would rather walk away from a game having lost but made a friend, got to know someone better and/or having had a good laugh, rather than winning a game in po faced silence. If your not talking (or at least having a footy commentary going on in your head) then your not playing IMO. That...

Re: Osc England.

Hi Spudski, Thanks!
Maybe when the time comes I will find someone to play with.
Hi mate,

There are a couple lads on this forum that play, that live about 40 mins from Preston...they may be willing to play.

I'll let them introduce themselves, if they so wish.

:)

I know these are probably of interest to collectors, but can you imagine the disappointment of the kid who bought that Luton when he opened the box!!

Re: Spiritual Home

I was born in Southampton, delivered by Southampton's team doctor (a Scot, who lumbered me with my middle name of Bruce). Dad was a season ticket holder - so my spiritual home has to be the development where the Dell used to be....... Username relates to Ref 9, my first ever Subby team strip ...
