Re: What team is this?

Never seen a team in that exact kit, checked my old west german files and there's a few close but none on the money
I wouldn't be too concerned with exact kits or at least 70% of the teams SSG produced are wrong  .. they made enough clumsy errors with teams from the British Isles

Re: Team Names

I've thought about it on and off and I did try one summer when I was a kid but other than that not really ... some of the club names are quite difficult if I followed the same theory as the other Leagues and tried to invent similar alternate names for them I don't think I could find enough that I wo...

The Claret and White sash on Yellow/Amber isn't on historical kits because it never existed .. which is why you won't find it on a still photo ;) poor reproduction on the other link combined with early colour TV techn...

Re: "Old Subbuteo"

Not sure it's any major cause for disharmony especially as this forum is now largely populated by people who don't play at all ? forums are just a means for discussion which is fine and how it should be - all this baffles me to be honest if Subbuteo produced it and it says so on the box then it's Su...

Re: "Old Subbuteo"

Taken to it's logical extreme heavyweight figures and all copies of same should be banned in OS events because their footprint and profile is nothing like that of the original figures and the extra weight gives players using such figures an advantage ? :) :) :)

Re: "Old Subbuteo"

I was referring to the profile rather than the base footprint something which in regard to the moulded figures has been spotted by others on this very forum .. to be honest I think it's a red herring if you are playing to advanced rules it takes away the worst aspects of FISTF play in any case. I th...

Re: "Old Subbuteo"

Councils and associations - empire builders ... and guess what they've fallen out what a surprise ...

As for Dux bases ? I'd wager that most of us here in England have never really taken much notice of the difference or indeed ever thought to look for it.

Re: "Old Subbuteo"

The dux bases bear more than a passing resemblance to those that were provided with the moulded teams we associate with box sets ? So those who like to make rules in their quest to define oldsubbuteo are in effect placing a ban on bases that were produced by Subbuteo for years and years ..... I can'...

Re: Christmas with Pendle Falcon

He doesn't provide them without the base so the total height is an inch and five eighths - I think Steve is busy with other things just now though
