Re: The Stoke Tournie 2019

Hi Andy, still early days until Stoke Tournament, but suggest you select a date that best suits you and give people plenty of notice to keep it free. I'm sure you'll get a good response, like last year, as it's always an enjoyable day (win or lose!). And Lloydies teams are brilliant!
Best wishes. Jeff

Re: Adding to my collection

Yes, really pleased thanks. I've been collecting HWs for about 7 years now, and I've never come across these before. I'm also intrigued by the two LW teams shown in the first 2 pictures (I sold my LW collection last year to concentrate on HWs and earlier Subbuteo!) as I believe they're also very sca...

Adding to my collection

Last week I was lucky enough to acquire some more teams for my collection. They were all owned from new by a retired teacher who ran a Subbuteo club from the late 1970s/early 1980s, so included HW, Zombie & LW teams and other accessories. I’m including photos of the less common teams(to show there a...

Re: Collectors' Fair Sunday 14th October

A great morning, lots of buyers and sellers, with a number of new faces too. Met buyers from Romford, Scotland and Italy (to name a few distant places!). Subbuteo is alive and well, if yesterday is anything to go by!! Thanks as always to Pete and Sandra (Subbuteoworld), and look forward to the next ...

Collectors' Fair Sunday 14th October

Pete Whitehead 'Subbuteoworld' is once again sponsoring the Renishaw Collectors Fair on Sunday 14th October 9am start, and hopefully it will be well supported as it was in May. Suitable for new and old (!) collectors. I'll be there as usual selling and hopefully buying too, and hope to see plenty of...

Re: you want to laugh?

Agreed, very optimistic! And there's lots more very high prices for very mediocre teams and accessories on eBay.

Many thanks Andy for very enjoyable tournament, competitive but friendly too. Still haven’t managed to score a goal in 3 consecutive tournaments but I live in hope. Best wishes. Jeff

Re: Stadium Edition Boxset

Thanks for all the info. Will definitely bring it to Renishaw and see what people think. I''ll probably try and sell it, as I'm trying to concentrate on collecting HW teams now, and have accumulated other football boxsets, plus rugby and cricket sets too, which I really should move on!

Thanks Paul, but don't fancy trying to package it for Italy or anywhere to be honest! Look forward to seeing you at Renishaw?

Stadium Edition Boxset

Some months ago at a toy fair I bought a Stadium Edition Boxset - an impressive 3 tiered 1977/78 1st edition with card trays (it was followed by polystyrene trays). The actual box is very good, the contents are (I think) complete, and undamaged!Including a grandstand, 3 HW teams, Holland, Germany & ...

Re: How long do you give someone to pay before relisting?

Just raise as unpaid item with eBay, he's unlikely to pay, so you can then relist after a few days following eBay clearance. I find its best to raise as unpaid item after minimum period of 4 days (I think), then genuine folk pay immediately, and non payers don't keep you waiting for too long. Regard...

Re: COLLECTERS FAIR 20TH MAY

Will be there as usual with plenty of hw teams, LW spares and accessories for sale, and hopefully find some bargains for my collection too. Always a good event in my experience, very sociable and well worth a visit. Very easy to access off junction 30 M1 and easy parking at Community Hall (plus refr...
