Re: YouTube Videos

Many may have seen it already but this is really class, very well presented and some nice features. Great to see how the 'professional' played with LW and HW teams and in my opinion shows how much better the game is on proper rounded bases as opposed to the vile 1-dimensional flats. Re: COLLECTORS FAIR

It's great there's this annual collectors fair so no offence intended to whoever organises it, but are there any others held around the county? Living down south and not driving this one is a bit inaccessible for me.

Re: Which Pitch?

My favourite and the set up I have is one of the nasty 90s nylon pitches pasted on a board with a nice 70s felt one on top. drawing pins keep the goals in place as there are dedicated little holes on the side of most goals for such fixing. Having played on the new and original backed astros I still ...

Plymouth 54 - Charity shop find

Hi, A friend of mine found some Subby in a charity shop going for peanuts and is shifting it on ebay. He asked if I knew anything about this team before listing...! Given it was being dumped at a charity shop I'd say the likelihood is its genuine though I'm not really an expert on spotting fakes so ...

Re: Zombie refs- pic request

Have just added my 68 and 114 HPs.

Just a general question about the Zombies, at the time were the more generic kit refs really only allocated to one team? This appears to be so on the Upton site or in reality did the teams represented by each ref just follow those of the HWs?
Cheers.

Re: New subbuteo 5-a-side

45 notes for a five a side set???????
Half the size, half the number of players and far more expensive than the full set? Not on in my opinion.

Re: subbuteo in John Lewis

I'm amazed they didn't just lob in your standard reds and blues so you've got to commend the set on that. They are Leggenda's indeed - interesting they've reverted back to them from the newest Lamond figures isn't it. Can't believe there's no inner tray though, very poor to have it all just sloshing...

Re: Zombie nation(s)

Cheers mate. Yes I've been doing a bit of 2 on 2 with them on the carpet and they do make me smile. Have a humpty-dumpty wobblyness about them and seem a bit taller than LW and HW men. They do make a horribly tinny sound on the strike though..

Zombie nation(s)

I took a punt on two h/p original Zombies on Ebay - 068 Chile: ref'd tray and outer box (red inners with Subbuteo writing) - £6.99 114 Switz: No ref but tray and box (red inners are the blank disks) - £4.99 Mainly because I've been to Chile so wanted a side and I liked the little crosses on the Swit...

Re: Original Astropitch

For what was a pretty pricey product seems like they were very easy to ruin by slightly careless packing. Must be a very high mortality rate :(

Re: Original Astropitch

Ive heard that if you weigh the whole thing down with books and bricks on top for a month or so that it sometimes works.
:lol!:
Cheers Long Shot, that could be it, think I'll give it a go

Original Astropitch

As part of a big bundle I obtained also included was an Astropitch. It was rolled correctly (pitch facing outside) but on unraveling and laying its plagued by undulations which can't seem to be flattened out. Does anyone know if you get rid and flatten them out to their former glory somehow or are t...
