Re: Goodison Park 1985

Astonishing. Love the fact its mainly standard subbuteo stands just heavily modified to nigh on perfect Goodison. Can we expect to see spectators actually standing on the terraces? I always get a little sad when people's gorgeous terraces are populated by sitters! Given all subbuteo fans were in th...

Calcio Lecco - 1977 Anglo-Italian Cup Winners

Having just played there as part of a Bath City supporters team to celebrate the 40th anniversary of their victory, I couldn't resist having a go at this. Original bases and players (was a reclaimed battered Coventry I think) with reproduction box and homemade stamp. Box.jpg Lecco Team.jpg LineUps.j...

Re: 236 Swansea/ Wolves 2nd

* Apologies, on closer inspection there are actually 3 injured men. 2x weak/ cracked ankles, 1x right ankle dislocated completely (pic below). So may be useful for someone who needs 7x players and original box!?

236 Swansea/ Wolves 2nd

I took a punt on this side and wondered if the experts among you consider it definitely genuine? As the box labelling appears legitimate and the usual traits of this era such as the base inners and matt brown boots I think it is. Only shame is that one of the mun has a cracked ankle, still standing ...

Re: LW Waddingtons v LW Hasbro equivalents

Thanks Lewis, yes agreed. I suppose I just like to see obscure teams represented, and as these were the last batch of ever made of such teams I am quite interested in the slit window versions (not the garish Premier League branded sides mind). That must've been very interesting Lloydie, if not somew...

Re: LW Waddingtons v LW Hasbro equivalents

Thanks mate, how d'you have such great inside knowledge may I ask?! So would you say these slit window ones are indeed the rarer - though maybe not particularly sought after.. With reference to Vikash's excellent 'Subbuteo Hasbro Team Range' thread http://www.subbuteoforum.org.uk/viewtopic.php?f=15&...

LW Waddingtons v LW Hasbro equivalents

I'm interested to see what people think of the rarity/ desirability of teams produced in the early 90s multi window era versus the same team made in the Hasbro slit window era. For example I have a few duplicates and thinking of having a sort out but would like to keep the most desirable: 316 E Brau...

Re: YouTube Videos

Many may have seen it already but this is really class, very well presented and some nice features. Great to see how the 'professional' played with LW and HW teams and in my opinion shows how much better the game is on proper rounded bases as opposed to the vile 1-dimensional flats. Re: COLLECTORS FAIR

It's great there's this annual collectors fair so no offence intended to whoever organises it, but are there any others held around the county? Living down south and not driving this one is a bit inaccessible for me.

Re: Which Pitch?

My favourite and the set up I have is one of the nasty 90s nylon pitches pasted on a board with a nice 70s felt one on top. drawing pins keep the goals in place as there are dedicated little holes on the side of most goals for such fixing. Having played on the new and original backed astros I still ...

Plymouth 54 - Charity shop find

Hi, A friend of mine found some Subby in a charity shop going for peanuts and is shifting it on ebay. He asked if I knew anything about this team before listing...! Given it was being dumped at a charity shop I'd say the likelihood is its genuine though I'm not really an expert on spotting fakes so ...

Re: Zombie refs- pic request

Have just added my 68 and 114 HPs.

Just a general question about the Zombies, at the time were the more generic kit refs really only allocated to one team? This appears to be so on the Upton site or in reality did the teams represented by each ref just follow those of the HWs?
Cheers.

Re: New subbuteo 5-a-side

45 notes for a five a side set???????
Half the size, half the number of players and far more expensive than the full set? Not on in my opinion.
