As said above,crowd funding is the way forward.
It may be worth emailing the various companies that have done well out of the Subbuteo legacy,such as Zeugo,Netcam,Santiago,Top Spin,Hadbro etc etc.
A hundred or more quid off of each of those and you would be halfway there....

Love it,I have happy memories of Craven Cottage as my team AFC Bournemouth clinched promotion to the old Div 2 there in 87.
Also a brilliant 5-1 Friday night win there on our way to the Championship title the season before last.
