Re: Brookfield Solo League: Season 06

Oh dear not a good day for Highwood - still top though. Good story that about Plymouth Argyle- funny where an interest in a random team on subbuteo can take you. As you say its easier these days to find out a lot about a club, wasn't the case back then. I remember writing to Ipswich Town on behalf o...

Re: Brookfield Solo League: Season 06

ah funny that, when I first starting playing in the 1970s my favourite HW team was Eire/Northern Ireland good old number 15. My second round of playing subbuteo again, in the early 90s. I went out and bought a 393 to be my team. 433 was always my preferred formation, get the ball in early. Well I wi...

I am backing the "free scoring" Highwood Ath for promotion- not conceded yet either!

What colour is their kit out of interest?

Re: AMONGST THE TAT....

They look great, I think I know the job lot you were looking at... well done mate, they look great on black and white bases. Funny the black stripe is close to the middle on a fair few of them almost a 182.

Re: Welcome to the Forum

Hi mate, I am fairly new myself but you should be fine to start a new thread and upload the pic under "General and Collecting Topics" - "help wanted identifying a team". I am sure someone on here would be able to identify the team- in fact I am certain! If its a super rare team and you are selling i...

Fair play mate that's some haul.... Boavista look great. Always liked that Sporting Lisbon kit as well.

Nice cigar box as well, you could start collecting them as well!

Re: Goodison Park 1985

That looks brilliant mate, you've nailed the Bullens Road stand- that's some effort.

Are you going to add in the Littlewoods clock in the corner of the Gwladys Street end? That would be attention to detail!

They look amazing- what a find.

I haven't even got any lilac bases never mind pink. Maybe its the red underneath but they do look pinkish to me.

Whats the team?

Re: Desperation strikes

I see the said team was sold for £33.50 - funnily enough all 5 bids had "private listing - bidder identity protected" status- I do wonder, seems a little coincidental.

I predict this very team will pop up again soon.

Perhaps listed under another "seller ID" but likely the same owner.
