Re: celtic 2nd ref 362 query

I posted a photo of my Celtic 2nd on here once and was offered £300 by PM a few hours later. I probably should have sold it TBH...

Re: Named Aston Villa

Thanks for sharing. It's a nice find with the named box.

I always thought this was an ugly kit, mainly because the exaggerated neck-V seems to come too far down the shirt.

"Doesn't turn up often" - it's not that rare though is it? In a numbered box I mean?

Re: Stoke Subbuteo Fair 7th June

Unlikely to be a player but it would be nice to come over and say hello.

I've missed the last 5-6 Renishaws but this is a lot closer.

Re: Great article on kit design ..

The correlation between well-designed kit and well-functioning team seems obvious.

Surely it's an even earlier idea than the article seems to realise, dating back to at least the early 1930s when under Herbert Chapman Arsenal adopted their white sleeves in the first place?

Rags were Ref 1 before they issued Ref 100 so the team is right for the box. A nice find !

Re: HW Names Teams and stamped ref numbers

Apart from a few that others have already mentioned, I've got the special order Burnley 2nd with a stamp on the box. I've also got two European teams with the same style stamp: Troyes 242 CUF 274 In terms of the typewritten style label, ones I have that I don't think have been mentioned yet are: Rot...

...I can't believe I overlooked the opportunity there to make a snide and tasteless comment about Wayne Rooney. I'm slipping.
