Re: South Devon Table Football Club - Classic League

I am so sorry I have only just seen this question. The SDTFC has 9 members including 3 teenagers, 3 beginners, and 3 experienced players. Dates get set up but such are the demands on everyone's' working lives that it is difficult to get everyone together - but it is a nice group and a pleasure when ...

South Devon Table Football Club - Classic League

The SDTFC Classic league starts on June 4th hosted by Alan Rowntree. This competition uses pre-1970s rules a copy of which are available on request from Alan at alan@alanrowntree.co.uk. Alan promotes a slower paced game which does not use, so much, the defensive flicks aspect of the game. Alan can p...

No blocking flicks

Hi, I have set up both a modern Table Football league and I am in the process of setting up up an Old Subbuteo League in order to accommodate that rule version, too. One of the players wants to stick to playing with no blocking flicks during the course of open play, I am not comfortable with this id...

Re: Sussex based players

Hi Steve, It was really good to meet you and enjoy your hospitality. The replica of the Goldstone is a real labour of love - so much detail you have put into it. I even enjoyed my 0.1 defeat on the pitch, too (well almost)! ;) Hope to catch up with you again. Cheers Bob

Re: Bristol Subbuteo Football Club

Thanks for the lead on El Rincon in Bristol. I have been in touch and they have confirmed that they don't host Table Football anymore - however they do still have a couple of pitches stored at the bowls club and are prepared to donate to Bristol STFC subject to their condition. It look like we might...

Re: Bristol Subbuteo Football Club

That's encouraging to know that there might be a bigger interest in Subbuteo than I thought - food for thought. As for the fixtures, I mentioned that it is a base to operate from and of course games will be missed. The good news is that with 2 tables I have predicted that we have a lot of spare capa...

Re: Bristol Subbuteo Football Club

I have only come back to Subbuteo myself a few months ago myself. I loved the 'old' game and have begun to realise that the simple world of Subbuteo that I grew up with has been split asunder into different factions - so know don't feel qualified to assume anything :). I found recently that not many...
