Re: My new collection and display

Looking superb, Adrian. Extremely difficult task you've set yourself there, though. 1 - 328, all original figures is tough. Good luck finding them all. :thumleft:

Subbuteo World Cup 1990 - Channel 4

Browsing Youtube yesterday and found the Channel 4 Subbuteo 1990 World Cup programme on there. (The full version at just over 49 minutes long). I watched this when it was originally broadcast (is it really 28 years ago ? Jeez !!! ). Excellent programme. A bit of needle, one or two tantrums, but, abo...

Re: Subbuteo "treasure trove found" in attic....

RE Leeds pricing. We're being charged £37 for a midweek game live on Sky. Wolves are subsidising the ticket price to £30 (ie paying £7 towards the ticket). Great gesture although doesn't address the key problem being Leeds ticket pricing policy. Must impact the home fans as well It's getting ridicu...

Leeds United vs Bristol City.

Interesting clash on Sunday between two ex-Barnsley managers. Adds an extra dimension to the proceedings.

Re: Subbuteo "treasure trove found" in attic....

Just imagine. You find an old dusty suitcase in the attic with "Subbuteo" emblazoned on the front in large black felt tip letters. :-\ You carefully brush off the cobwebs and the dust. :Fade-color Tentatively, you unzip the suitcase, careful not to spoil any of the treasures that may be contained wi...

Re: The nightmare continues

Personally, I'd prefer to see them with the sleeves fully painted, but it seems to be fashionable to paint long sleeved figures with short sleeves.

Re: The nightmare continues

They are original SSG LW's, repainted to a very high standard, or its a decals team, it is a good bit of work

Re: The nightmare continues

What figures are being used on this team?

Aren't these the same kind of figures as the ones on show in the Lightweight 334 Burnley thread that you recently created, Dallas ??
(Might be a modern version of the 80's original Subbuteo figure).

Re: Welcome to the Forum

Thanks Mark A (Krama), Skell, Cityfan (Ian), for the welcome.

Collecting, eh. Once you're into it, it's hard to stop.

Now then, where did I put that miniscule F.A.Cup; you know, the one from the mid-70's VIP presentation set. :-k

Re: Welcome to the Forum

I've just joined the forum so I thought I'd say hello to everyone.

I've got a bit of a collection going (heavyweights). Not comparable to some of the collections in evidence on the forum, I hasten to add.

Look forward to posting from time to time.

Paul.
