Re: Where to buy?

Jeez, that is a long way away. :?

Don't really know anything about lightweights, but there is usually a few lightweight teams available at this swapmeet. Quite a few forum members attend this event. It's a really good day out, but 200-odd miles is a big commitment.

Re: Where to buy?

The Newcastle 815 green seems to be like rocking horse doo. Starting to think I’ll need to wait until Sheffield before I get the chance to buy that one

How far from Sheffield/Renishaw are you, Pearsop2 ??

If you live near Sheffield, try this. The next fair is in October.

Re: Subbuteo on Dickinson Real Deal

This particular episode was shown again this afternoon on ITV at 3pm. There looked to be some pretty decent teams in the joblot. Well worth the 300 quid; providing there weren't any reglues in there.

Re: Identifying Lightweight and heavyweight

Thanks for the info Paul - I'm born in 1981, so it was lightweights that I collected as a kid. I have mostly lightweights now and it's only recently that I started to pick up some heavyweights. It's really hard to pick teams up on eBay though, it's so competitive. I have managed to get two job lots...

Re: This Could Start A Bidding Frenzy

Subbuteo is now like most of the art galleries around the world full of fakes. I wonder what percentage of rare teams in collections are fakes. I've read that a lot of galleries know they have fakes but tend not to publicise it, a bit like Subbuteo collectors I suspect. Spot on. I would love to hav...

Re: Identifying Lightweight and heavyweight

Just interested which particular era of subbuteo did you originally start with, DC ?? Also, if you're near to Sheffield and/or Stoke, there are a couple of fairs coming up in the near future. There's usually a few of the guys on here who attend these meets. They'll give you some advice about the joy...
