Re: The nightmare continues

Personally, I'd prefer to see them with the sleeves fully painted, but it seems to be fashionable to paint long sleeved figures with short sleeves.
Yes I do not like short sleeved shirts on long sleeve figures they look terrible

Re: The nightmare continues

Why is it a problem ? No, no there is no problem ! People spend their money as they prefer, specially buying collectable items ! I just wonder, as Mark does, why these kind of teams reach so high evaluations. Recently on the same media I have seen beautiful and quite rare original HW to go for much...

Re: The nightmare continues

The people who buy her teams are buying highly detailed work and she seems to have two or three buyers who compete for her auctions. The amount of time required to paint that way goes far beyond anything produced by most heavyweight painters original or contemporary and that is not meant as any kind...

Re: The nightmare continues

Why is it a problem ? we all collect different things I for example do not understand why people collect heavyweights . The bases warp the painting is really very very poor and they are o...

Re: The nightmare continues

The seller states quite clearly that she produces one-off individually painted teams . With all due respct they are often complex kits and to a far higher standard than most painters are capable of so where is the problem ?

Re: CELLULOID TEAMS

If you want teams rather than bases the forum sponsor has them at giveaway prices at the moment . eBay has never been a good source of decent celly teams in bases plenty of over priced badly glued broken rubbish but not much else just the usual 25/32/40/43/49/ sets a few years ago all bagged but no ...

Re: need some help!!

Thank you, HSV66, and apologies for any confusion I caused. I, wrongly, assumed that Jason, as a new member, may have been referring to the original game. Also, with a title of "Old Subbuteo," I had always thought the idea was to stick to the original rules of the game as accurately as possible. No...

Re: need some help!!

Old Subbuteo refers to the original game, through to, roughly, the end of the sixties or early seventies. In those days the game was much slower, and suggested playing time was twenty-five minutes each half. There were two sets of rules included in each box set, the elementary and the Advanced, whi...
