Re: Are auctions dead

Barry, I don't mind people selling tat, it's when they keep listing for the same unsold price. I mean, hello, is anyone in there? You're not getting 25 quid this week, or next month or next year for this pile of dog-doo. If you can't be bothered to drop the price, then drop it in your local charity...

Re: Are auctions dead

eBay seems to be just full of the same tat nowadays. The same people, some good some bad, relisting and relisting and relisting. I think there still is 6 terrible teams still being list for 25 as I speak. They aren't worth 5. It's got very dull over there and I've not bought anything much on it for ...

Re: 2013windsurfer1975

It's a nightmare isn't? Two recent sales: 1- Many teams a sort of double job lot. Went to the post office twice to get the best price. Still not happy I requested to cancel the transaction (thanks Mark) which they eventually accepted. If it costs 9€ to send one team it's going to a lot more to send ...

Re: Brexit and postage

Odd one, UK is on the list: https://www.postnl.nl/tarieven/tarieven-pakketten/?country=gb 15€, by the looks of things signed for 9.31€ otherwise, plus most "post" places over there sell boxes too, she just needs to write a label out! As you say she sounds like she doesn't want to send it anywhere. T...

Re: Couldnt make this up

nearly as bad as couple of teams i bought recently off a nice old lady in scotland. When she said Cape Town and Paris, i thought result.when it arrived, Cape town turned out to be Holland and psg was Dundee. I can imagine you were getting the "here's a little haul I picked up recently" post ready.

Re: Couldnt make this up

Or the time someone sent me a lovely OHW team only for them to selloptape the figures to the inner box so they didn't move around.
I live safe in he knowledge that these people will be weeded out by a process of natural selection.

Re: Desperation strikes

The issue is not entirely what this guy sells, but where they go. The next seller might not photograph them so well, or might be included a job lot. Do that a couple of times and you might be the one buying the 139. Admittedly the 115 looks wrong from any angle and so is an easy spot, but you probab...

And yet another Verona from this seller. He's sold more than SSG ever did. And at times I wonder why I don't bother with feebay anymore.

Re: new book

How did you get through it, it seems terribly translated?
If anyone wants to see what I mean have a look at the preview on Amazon. Looks like someone just went to bing.com and copied and pasted.

Re: Unbelievable

eBay has really gone off the boil over the last year+. Too many dodgy teams or buy it nows for several 100.
In the last calendar year I must have bought about a couple of teams on there.

Re: What team is this?

All plausible answers, I'd go along with the idea it's a French side. The definitive answer is probably lost in the midst of time, especially as you don't have the team (yet?)
Amusing where Troyes have "Small boat" on there shirts, I wonder why?

Re: What team is this?

Makes sense. The others could be a 239 with a lot of paint. Might be worth a quick dab with a damp cloth to check if it's poster paint.
