Re: Premier League 17/18 solo

Look forward to the updates. Nice to see that we are in third place. ;-)

I have played every game in a full season before to finish in May, but it can turn into a slog and I would not attempt it again. Worth doing it once though for the experience.

Re: Goldstone Ground pre season friendly

I really like this,

Plus it's the perfect week to have a bit of Brighton history!!
Thanks. The last time we made the top flight in 1979 we lost 4-0 at home to Arsenal in the first game, but we didn't go down. Not expecting to get results against the top sides, but you never know early season.

Re: Stamps

Obviously the Royal Mail doesn't know what is in all those thousands of packages they cart around every day. Perhaps they think they are boxes of Fuzzy Felts.

Re: Goldstone Ground pre season friendly

Class mate , keep them photos coming, all the best to the Seagulls this season.....apart from against the toon. Be interesting to see how both sides do this season. Our chairman doesn't believe in spending money on big names, so at least we won't go the same way teams like Portsmouth have. I suspec...

Nice mate. Like it.
Good luck this season by the way....
Thanks we will no doubt need it. Looking forward to the easy opener against Man City. I suspect its only a matter of time before Fulham get back.

Re: Goldstone Ground pre season friendly

Great stuff!
What does the bloke's sign say?
Its a list of the winning jack pot numbers. There are a number of custom made figures around the stadium which I have converted from Subbuteo models, this being one of them.

Goldstone Ground pre season friendly

First look at the Goldstone this season. Brighton hosted last years (solo league Division One) champions QPR and were comfortably beaten 3-0.

Re: Goodison Park 1985

Astonishing. Love the fact its mainly standard subbuteo stands just heavily modified to nigh on perfect Goodison. Can we expect to see spectators actually standing on the terraces? I always get a little sad when people's gorgeous terraces are populated by sitters! Given all subbuteo fans were in th...

Re: Your favourite item in your collection

I've got the earlier set which is my favourite item. Interesting that you have the two coloured ball which is quite rare, wish I had that in mine. Very lucky to find that in a charity shop.

Re: World Cup 1966

Its been great to recreate and a nice comfortable amount of games to play over the month. Thanks for the comments.

I'll play it again at some stage in the future, maybe every 4 years !

Re: World Cup 1966

:| WORLD CUP FINAL PORTUGAL v BRAZIL The capacity Wembley crowd were looking forward to football of the highest quality as the two form teams faced up to each other. Both sides opened with attacks on each goal down the flanks. The defences were very tight in the central areas and no clear cut chance...

Re: World Cup 1966

Third and Fourth Place Final Spain v France France seemed the only team interested in this game in the opening 20 minutes. Spain could not break out of defence and when they did their passing was very poor. The French were much more lively and got off to a flying start when Hausser knocked one in of...

Re: World Cup 1966

FRANCE V BRAZIL Both these teams had their share of luck in reaching the semifinals, more so France who had not won a match. This became evident as they could not get into any rhythm with an inept first half. Brazil expecting a much harder test were surprisingly cautious in the opening stages. Garin...
