Re: "Old Subbuteo"

The only tournaments that I have played in were at Maidenhead and Steve Moreton's in Southend, where there were mainly Italian players at both events. There were never any rule disputes that I can remember at any of the events and they were always great fun. There were a few rules broken at times, b...

Re: "Old Subbuteo"

Pitches covered in fake snow, model trees for goal posts, stretching over stands 2 feet high, using corner kickers and the throw in figure, these are all part of the wonderful world of " Old Subbuteo"". Well it is in Southend.

Re: Painting figures

If you are trying to match the Subbuteo colours its best to have some original players to enable you to gauge the correct shades. In my experience there are very few colours you can take straight from the tin, you will have to experiment with mixing. Again, with stripes and trim it depends whether y...

Re: New Leitch stand

Even better then if you can play solo. Weighting the goalie and just positioning him before shooting works very well for me.

Re: New Leitch stand

Looking really good and love the railway running around, every stadium should have one. I do like to play games in mine so a railway is a non starter.

Re: Stadium update

Looking good, comes to life when the supporters arrive. Those standing fans from China are good value, although the painting is really poor it provides a starting point to work on. Would you know where these standing fans are available or what to search for etc? You can buy these on ebay, type in "...

Re: Brighton legends

Good work with the clay. That 70's team was an exciting side to watch with Ward, Foster, Lawrenson, Horton etc. Here is my version painted some time ago. I did these on a repainted team and didn't try to get a likeness to the individual players.

Sadly I had to miss this Christmas, being away for the week. I love that snow covered pitch, never lost a game on that yet.
