Re: HW Slump

To be honest you only have to look at this forum to realise the hobby is in the early stages of decline. Regular stalwarts of the forum no longer post or are anywhere to be seen. There are many days or even weeks between posts and in some topics it's been years. As as been said before due to the ag...

Re: Goodison Park 1985

Great piece of work you must be really proud of that. My Goldstone Ground brings a smile to my face every time I look at it. When the supporters move in it brings the whole thing alive.

Re: Premier League 17/18 solo

There used to be a chap who made a war time football game called Vintage Days. As no substitutes were allowed he introduced the concept of an injured player, which was hampered by having a piece of sandpaper stuck to the bottom of the base. You could consider using this idea on the lower teams strik...

Re: Premier League 17/18 solo

How do you actually try to make the bigger teams play better. When possession changes to the lesser side are you therefore consciously not playing as well with them, or hampering them in some way.

Re: Premier League 17/18 solo

Interesting when you say no bias, obviously there must be some subconscious bias looking at the teams at the top and bottom. When you look at the table all those top 5 are exactly the teams you would expect to be there. I think this does happen to some degree when you play solo, as you tend to play ...

Re: How Long Do You Wait For Payment?

He could be a time waster and mess up your other sales, so I would tell him to pay the full amount TODAY and then you can adjust payment on anything else he buys. If you don't receive payment I would block him and report to eBay.

Re: TWO NEW ADDITIONS...

Nice teams, the old gold Wolves has grown on me over the years. I remember in the day that it was always laughed at, as it was nothing like the colour of the Wolves strip. Are those numbers on the backs done in biro ?

Re: Brookfield Solo League: Season 06

Popular player at Argyle.

I hadn't realised, or simply forgot, how many games he played for Brighton.

Very popular at Brighton as well. He almost broke the club goal scoring record for one season, which is still held by Peter Ward.

Re: Premier League 17/18 solo

Look forward to the updates. Nice to see that we are in third place. ;-)

I have played every game in a full season before to finish in May, but it can turn into a slog and I would not attempt it again. Worth doing it once though for the experience.

Re: Goldstone Ground pre season friendly

I really like this,

Plus it's the perfect week to have a bit of Brighton history!!
Thanks. The last time we made the top flight in 1979 we lost 4-0 at home to Arsenal in the first game, but we didn't go down. Not expecting to get results against the top sides, but you never know early season.

Obviously the Royal Mail doesn't know what is in all those thousands of packages they cart around every day. Perhaps they think they are boxes of Fuzzy Felts.

Re: Goldstone Ground pre season friendly

Class mate , keep them photos coming, all the best to the Seagulls this season.....apart from against the toon. Be interesting to see how both sides do this season. Our chairman doesn't believe in spending money on big names, so at least we won't go the same way teams like Portsmouth have. I suspec...

Nice mate. Like it.
Good luck this season by the way....
Thanks we will no doubt need it. Looking forward to the easy opener against Man City. I suspect its only a matter of time before Fulham get back.

Re: Goldstone Ground pre season friendly

Great stuff!
What does the bloke's sign say?
Its a list of the winning jack pot numbers. There are a number of custom made figures around the stadium which I have converted from Subbuteo models, this being one of them.
