Re: Removing plastic labels from box's?

Spud, they are Dymo labels. I did read somewhere that they can be removed by spraying some WD40 around the edges. Not sure what that would do to the box ! Why not try spraying a bit on an old box to see what the damage may be, if any.

Re: World Cup 1966

Yes I agree, but there were more valid reasons to expand it later to include other continents, than what has happened to the European Cup. The Champions League is much less exciting than the old European Cup which only had the real champions.

Re: World Cup 1966

Hope the Brazil v Hungary game turned out to be as good as the original, even if Hungary couldn't repeat their win. I still consider that match to have been the game of the Tournament, with Farkas's goal also the beat. I remember that Hungarian side fondly, and had they not had two unfortunate (or ...

Re: Are auctions dead

I think we probably reached the peak in prices about 3 years ago. We all said then that values were getting to ridiculous levels, prices have fallen steeply since then and seem unlikely to get back any time soon. I expect there is a combination of reasons, fewer new collectors, collectors moving on ...

Re: World Cup 1966

So, after fifty-one years, England have finally learned how to outmaneouvre Uruguay's sweeper tactics. Let us hope they haven't peaked too soon. Yes I'm not too sure what happened in that game. Everything England hit went in and hard as I tried with Uruguay they just got worse. The half time score ...
