Open House

I am just starting to sell up all my subbuteo. As a dealer I have tonnes of the stuff. I have in excess of 1000 lw teams, a few hundred hw teams, around a hundred zuego first edition teams and 40 rugby teams. Loads of box sets football, cricket and rugby. Accessories by the bucket full. My first opt...

Re: Hike for Business Sellers

Regardless of anything, you get an eBay bill at the end of the month after July this will be 20% more. I will close my eBay shop and business before the end of July it's not worth it.

Re: Hike for Business Sellers

I was under the impression that it was 20% vat on your total eBay fees. So if you pay £200 a month eBay fees that will now rise to £240 if this is the case I will be selling up.

Re: Are auctions dead

eBay seems to be just full of the same tat nowadays. The same people, some good some bad, relisting and relisting and relisting. I think there still is 6 terrible teams still being list for 25 as I speak. They aren't worth 5. It's got very dull over there and I've not bought anything much on it for...

Re: Are auctions dead

If there's one thing I can guarantee it's we will be having this very same discussion in a years time. As has been the case for the last 8 years since I joined the forum. People do not sit on their computers chasing ebay auctions in the middle of summer when it is 30 plus degrees outside with longer...

Re: Rugby 7's

More often than not zombies. But lightweights or normal rugby players are nearly just as common. However the pitch is normally the modern nylon type.

Re: Etiquette when selling on the forum.

I have to say, though, you use Paypal's service and then complain that you have to pay them probably less than the price of a stamp for using it. Is that bad etiquette? Yes it probably saves less than a pound in fees on a £10 sell. However the buyer wanted 3 tango balls for £6 plus postage I said I...

Etiquette when selling on the forum.

I was in the process of selling some items to a fellow forum member. Not a large amount of money nearly £9 in total. I asked them if they could send me the money via paypal through the family and friends option to which they replied "Well I certainly won`t be sending anything via the latter. I think...

Re: AMONGST THE TAT....

I must admit that since I stopped buying I do miss the thrill of what gems might be lurking in a job lot.

Re: Charity shop find.

As you say Ian the late 70's early 80's box sets can throw up some interesting teams. When I was buying I always kept a look out for such sets. A bit like a Jamboree sweet bag from the same era you never know what's inside.

Re: Charity shop find.

It's the first subbuteo purchase I've made for over a year. I'm supposed to be selling my collection but you can never let a decent buy go, it's in a collectors DNA.

Charity shop find.

I picked up a display edition today for a tenner from the Salvation Army. Included are what appears to be a 307 Torquay and a Middlesbrough 171. These little gems are still out there.

Re: 2013windsurfer1975

Just an update on 2013windsurfer1975. It so turns out that the lazy fcukwit could not be bothered to collect his parcel from his local post office. It was attempted delivery a week after I sent it and held for a month awaiting collection. I received it back to me today. Ebay have removed the negativ...
