Re: Stoke Tournie and Fair 25th June

Yes, England never really wore their traditional kit in many big matches over the years.
From 1970 my favourite kit is the Mexico dark red and navy blue one
My favourite kit too of those shown although the Bulgarian and Morocco 2nd kits ran it close

Re: A BUSY END TO 2016.....

You have picked up a nice set of teams again. I particularly like the 40 - I have this as an Original HW but it looks great as a Classic HW

Re: Renishaw Fair

Besides getting some teams that I wanted for my collection from Jeff and Skell, I also bought some Topspin teams from Paul Lloyd again. I was particularly impressed with their new boxes with four player window and coloured insert as shown

Re: Hertfordshire subbuteo

I'm looking to start a club up in Royston in Hertfordshire. I have a green light from the local conservative club to host the evenings with no hire cost involved. I thought I'd post to the wider community just in case any of you are local & may be interested. It's early days but I'm hoping to get e...

Re: Harrow tournament the 3rd and 4th of September

Many thanks to Rudi for organising and facilitating a great day of Subbuteo played in good spirit by all. Also, thanks to Paul Lloyd for supplying the teams. I am a sucker for buying attractive looking Subbuteo teams and there were some beauts spare, so I came away with a good few teams more than my...

Re: CRIKEY !!!!.....

I saw the three lots that this vendor was selling on ebay when they came up previously at Amersham Auctions on June 9th. There were quite a few teams among the lots, some of which are rare but I had got all but one of the teams and what were there weren't in as good condition as teams already in my ...

Re: Old Subbuteo Tournament, but which one?

I'm hoping to get to one of the tournaments in September. But how do I choose which one. Harrow on 4th Sep or Southend on 11th Sep? Would be great to do both but that would be pushing it. Despite my inferior skills, I still enjoy playing Subbuteo and have enrolled for both events and would say that...

Re: Who Remember's Buying Your Very First Team...

After getting the Continental set with floodlights for Christmas 1966, the first teams that I bought after Christmas were No.5 and No.41 from Nicholl and Brown in Halifax. (The shop had two entrances - one to the toy shop section and one to the sports section which included all the Subbuteo (and gre...
