Re: Bristol Subbuteo Football Club

That's encouraging to know that there might be a bigger interest in Subbuteo than I thought - food for thought. As for the fixtures, I mentioned that it is a base to operate from and of course games will be missed. The good news is that with 2 tables I have predicted that we have a lot of spare cap...

Re: Bristol Subbuteo Football Club

Thanks for the reply Bob. I've been an interested bystander to the Bristol Subbuteo Club for a while. I follow out of interest on FB and Twitter. Initially I was really excited that at long last Bristol was going to have a Club that met regularly playing Subbuteo. My last playing was at a Subbuteo f...

Re: Bristol Subbuteo Football Club

I was initially interested in coming along, but correct me if I'm wrong, do you play Fistf table soccer and not Subbuteo? I don't think my HW figures and Subbuteo Goalkeeper on plastic rod, and preference to play Subbuteo with Subbuteo equipment would sit well in such an environment. If different, I...

Re: Ref 78. Shade of Green

It's an overpainted team mate...not SSG original. Most likely a ref 154 or 8.

Maybe it's the same guy then. I did wonder what became of the teams. Obviously moved them on like Lloydie says.

Re: Think this will put a smile on your face....

Well it's certainly made me chuckle lads...just wish those kits were actually made. Although one looks awfully like a Roma 2nd kit from the late 70's.

Re: HW Slump

Erics....my favourite group when I was a young en only exist because of Erics in Liverpool. OMD...Quote... Who played Eric's? The list of groups who played Eric's reads like a Who's Who of punk/rock music, from Blondie and The Clash to The Jam and Ultravox. Little known groups like The Police and Th...

Re: HW Slump

Whilst I agree this forum is less active, I disagree that Subbuteo is in decline, either in playing or collecting. I've seen a lot more people taking up the game again, and also many people start collecting or continuing to collect. Collectors and players are more active on other forms of social med...

Re: HW Slump

Private deals amongst collectors is definitely the best way imo...you get to develop a bond and understanding as to what that collector actually wants. A good way of developing friendships too. Collectors know the true worth of teams, the real rarity or not....like I said, ebay gives a false impress...
