Re: OHW JOB LOT....

What strikes me with all those hooped socks, is that the one team that should have hooped socks, hasn't....Barcelona.

Has anyone ever found a pic of Barcelona, ever wearing the distinct socks SSG gave them, and yet never changed through the years?

Re: World Cup hw box labels x 16 Set repro

They look great Mark. 8) When I've made sets for World Cup projects in the past, I printed the names the same size as the original SSG. Just on to self adhesive paper. Then cut them to the same size. I then added sellotape over the top. To give that glossy look SSG had. I then used the serrated edge...

Re: Whats was this Box for?

I've got a couple of spare FA cup bodies (no plinth or lid) if you want to restore those broken cups.
Not mine mate...photo from the net. Thanks for the offer though :-)

Re: Whats was this Box for?

I think they used up those old brown box's like any business would...have seen various early C range accessories turn up in those types of box's.

Like Number 9 said...could also be the red or early green scoreboard...or something else...who knows.

Here's a pic of red scoreboard and box.

Re: Help...

The die cut in the inlay, was to place the goalkeeping rods in, supposedly to keep them in place, at an angle. Most end up ripped...completely useless as it is so hard to remove the rods without damaging the inlay mate.

Re: Base Shape

Then you have a later production common Ref 41...with massively warped bases, late plastic inners, and late plastic figures. A right concoction.

Re: Base Shape

This team reminded me of this thread...Crazy late production HW common ref 317 England. I got this team in a job lot recently. All the bases are like you get on Zombies. Different 'inner discs', different plastics. Different glue. All the players have been touched up with white paint on shirt and so...

Re: Which Pitch?

Really depends on how flexible you are with your set up and storage space. If you just want to play on your dining room table, then an astropitch with rubber backing is your solution. Use double sided sticky tape for your goals. For a better set up...mount a pitch to some hardboard or MDF. Use water...

Re: Base Shape

Agreed Alberto...the picture you have shown would only be from the late 70's early 80's. You wouldn't find that from any other era. However...you can find teams from the same period with bases and inners, that were introduced earlier. This is because stock got mixed up. The outworker was looking at ...
