Re: New additions from Porto, Portugal today.

Good information Alberto. I have seen all the Portuguese teams in named box's. I still have some. They also came with white players, White and Black (like some Delacoste) and even some all black figures. The majority in named long splash box's before the short splash of 1978 with ref number. Like yo...

Re: New additions from Porto, Portugal today.

Agree mate... I think Parodi in Italy thought slightly outside the SSG box. Photographing actual HW's, LW's and hybrids in their catalogues right through the 80's. I think my Italian cat from 85/86 shows HW's right up to approx ref 560 in the range. I've seen HW's in Italy even in these type box's t...

Re: New additions from Porto, Portugal today.

It's worth considering that Ralph...although it seems Catalogues from SSG do show HW and Zombie figures in them at the same time. As well as HP LW's. The Italian an Dutch Catalogues do for sure. The Italian Cats showing HW, LW and Hybrid. If you consider the 1978 Catalogues...both in the UK and abro...

Re: New additions from Porto, Portugal today.

Super boxes there Ian again proving the 'there are no rules set in stone' rule, which ironically IS set in stone It's Peter Uptons fault imo Mark. It's a great site...but it has become 'the bible' for collecting circles. Certain collectors seem fixated with it. At the end of the day, anyone could p...

Re: Unusual Goalkeeper...

Goalkeepers are very hard to remove too when snapped so i would think this chap was plonked in at SSG Richard, cause i could be wrong, ask my wife I had a load of broken HW Goalkeepers, where they had snapped at the ankles. I tried removing the bar to use the rod for Santiago and Topspin GK's inste...

New additions from Porto, Portugal today.

Some nice teams and ephemera. Players came with the numbers attached to the inners, which I've removed with hot water. Got a whole load of loose players that came in the cigar box. Just need to find the right empty box's for them now. Hope you enjoy.

Re: Unusual Goalkeeper...

Goalkeepers are always the most likely team member to get the dreaded broken calves. I'd guess the team didn't leave the factory like this. The Football Express keeper was probably signed by some subsequent owner. Football express GK's weren't on these plastic rods Liono...they attached to the shor...
