Looks ok from the photographs Eric. Would have to have them in the hand to be 100% sure.

Re: Removing plastic labels from box's?

Leave it well alone Ian you'll not move it without tearing the boxes .. at least it is a period addition ? Well I did think this Ralph...however the Vienna pictured is really bugging me. It's painted with mauve/lilac shorts, similar to a ref 123. I want to know whether the ref sticker underneath is...

Re: Removing plastic labels from box's?

Vey often it is very difficult remove the dymo without removing some paper from the box Dymo had strong adhesive. I suggest you to wet the right angle, where the ref is, and try to rice up to the ref and try to remove it! Thanks Alberto...I'll try it on some of the more common teams to start with.

Removing plastic labels from box's?

...Anyone know the best way to remove the plastic labels you sometimes find on box's showing the team name? Not sure what they are called. I've bought a job lot of Subbuteo teams, and the majority have these named labels on the end of the box's, that goes right across covering the ref stickers. Is t...

Re: HEAVYWEIGHT PHOTOS IN REFERENCE SECTION....

'Gloat' as much as you want Skell...can never get enough of pics of Subby teams. Keep it going fella...share the love and passion ;-) I'd post more...but I'm saving all my best photos for my proposed book. No point sticking them on the net for everyone to see now, as no one would be interested in pu...

Re: ANTICIPATION IS KILLING ME....

as an aside why did Borussia M never come on green/black combo bases like the 78's?
I've had it on that base combo Mark...it looked superb. But that's the only time I've seen it...a one off. Hopefully there are more out there. Like you say though, it should have been standard.

Re: ANTICIPATION IS KILLING ME....

It's lovely that Dumbarton...it's always a strange one. Worn up til 1973, when found it's usually in a long splash box, so mid 70's, and then SSG didn't officially add it to the catalogue til 1981 as ref 356...completely bonkers.

I suppose that's why we love this hobby...it is bonkers lol

Re: Stoke Tournie and Fair 25th June

True ... I've decided to stick with OS in future mainly because, as you know Ian, it creates a certain type of atmosphere amongst enthusiasts who by and large share a similar view of the game... If other folk want to play as a club in county or team events that's up to them but it doesn't fall with...

Re: Stoke Tournie and Fair 25th June

That's the problem with 'Subbuteo' tournaments...too many different rules in the game. It all gets muddled up. Plus it also depends on how badly people want to win, or whether they just want a bit of fun and banter. I can totally understand why likeminded friends just play for fun around someone's h...
