Re: HW Slump

Private deals amongst collectors is definitely the best way imo...you get to develop a bond and understanding as to what that collector actually wants. A good way of developing friendships too. Collectors know the true worth of teams, the real rarity or not....like I said, ebay gives a false impress...

Re: HW Slump

Think it's just ebay Mark. Italians have also been on holiday over August...no money in September. Always a good time to buy but not sell on ebay it seems. Amongst the collecting community, and other selling (foreign) formats, I'd say it was still sensible and neither too low or too high. Ebay has c...

Re: How Long Do You Wait For Payment?

I think it's good manners to pay immediately. What people don't think about when not paying immediately, is if you leave it a week to pay, and then the seller has 3 days to send, that seller may be away on holiday/business etc. Then they get poor feedback for not sending within 3 days...yet they've ...

Re: Reference site screwed...

I just save them on my computer now, and then convert on to an external hardrive. That way you are in control of them. Surely the revenue in adverts Photobucket make should suffice.

Reference site screwed...

....thanks to photobucket.

All that time and effort by collectors.

I can imagine lots of collectors forums have been screwed over as well.

Re: Rosario Central your opinion

Eric...As Alberto says...Rosario Central didn't have horizontal trim on the socks officially. However...it could be a mistake by the outworker. Would a 'repainter' make this error? How many socks with trim did an outworker paint every day? How many socks with vertical trim did an outworker paint eve...

Re: Removing plastic labels from box's?

Leave it well alone Ian you'll not move it without tearing the boxes .. at least it is a period addition ? Well I did think this Ralph...however the Vienna pictured is really bugging me. It's painted with mauve/lilac shorts, similar to a ref 123. I want to know whether the ref sticker underneath is...

Re: Removing plastic labels from box's?

Vey often it is very difficult remove the dymo without removing some paper from the box Dymo had strong adhesive. I suggest you to wet the right angle, where the ref is, and try to rice up to the ref and try to remove it! Thanks Alberto...I'll try it on some of the more common teams to start with.
