Re: display

Lots of it doesn't ring true Ralph imo. So many things just don't add up. I've seen pics from the Tournament in 1970 at the Savoy...SSG spent money on presentation as well as scoreboard. None of it looked as shabby as the ones advertised. Especially when the descriptions in the adverts also don't ma...

Re: display

Hey Paul...hope you are good bud... Maybe they did have them made Paul, I'll bow to your better knowledge on such things...however... I honestly don't think these examples are the real deal. So many things standing out as wrong on all of them. Take the 1968 display as an example. It's obviously a C...

Re: display

Am I the only one that thinks these are fakes? Too many things don't ring true. World Cup box just cut up and stuck together. Modern different green sheet stuck on. Morocco player apparently cleaned up from ink...yet shows a completely different figure. Say's only one produced because of cost...yet ...

Re: Prices for LW going through the roof

Re the bidding...some people like myself, just don't have the time to sit and watch ebay auctions end. So put in a bid early to an amount they are willing to spend. If you miss out...so be it. Life's too short to be sat watching ebay ;-) As for the LW team being 'modified'...I looked on the Mingardo...

Re: Seville FC

Subbuteo collecting and playing seems to be in a very healthy state at the moment. More popular than it has been in the past. Not a week goes by without seeing the image or name used in some form or other in the media. There was a half page article in the Sun yesterday commemorating 75 years of Subb...

Re: OSC OS (Old Subbuteo Club Old Sods)

We've been using different size balls at the Old Sods events. More recently we've moved to playing with FF size balls with HW and LW teams. Took a bit of getting used to...you just have to be more accurate. The original FF Subbuteo balls are a pile of pants...too light and don't roll straight. All o...

Re: Latest acquisitions

That Cardiff is an absolute cracker on that bases combination.

And the other two teams are great also.

Lovely finds worth cherishing.
