Re: rare indoor on SW

Not sure why anyone would associate the White and Red kit with Clydebank as it bears very little resemblance to any Clydebank kit ? on that basis alone Pete is probably more likely to be correct . Clydebank ? No. Looks like a Motherwell c1992 pattern done in red. Sometimes they loaded up the wrong ...

Re: Stoke Old Subbuteo Tournie... 22nd June

That bit about "no cards" isn't true, is it ?

There were some in the Referee's Kit.

Re: Subbuteo Pet Hates

Lack of 11 players instead of 10 in the standard C100 team boxes Lack of HW sub/reserves for all references in the accessories range SSG used to sell these direct from the factory for 1/- apiece + postage. The snag was that they were painted at different times by different painters from the rest of...

Re: Early 70's World Cup Box Set

Surely the box is everything. All the contents would be (relatively) easy to replace. A few years ago, I was talking to a bloke who'd been working on restoring the "Flying Scotsman". "How much of this loco dates back to 1923 ?" I asked him. After a bit of thought, he said, "probably just the frame."...

There's a World Cup edition boxset on Ebay at the moment. Comes with :-
3 teams; England, West Germany and Holland.
Standard goals, not World Cup goals.
Wired goalies, not plastic goalies.
May not be entirely kosher. #-o

Subbuteo Podcast

Anyone listen to this ? :?

Sometimes a bit dull but the latest podcast an interesting interview with Trevor Spencer.

His memory seems to be failing - he refers to ref 41 as Chelsea.

On iTunes, search podcasts for "Subbuteo" and it'll come up. :thumleft:

Re: Shop Display 1968

thinking on this item the trays aren't the usual trays in the shop displays. ie , should have 15 player slots like a rugby tray. they seem to be the standard hw box trays and not as per the ones I have in my 5 tray version as per below therefore not sure if they are genuine or maybe SSG did them li...

Re: Backchat

It was generally accepted that you bought the rugby or cricket fences so that you got two extra bits of fencing for free.

I've no idea where all these green fences came from.
