They are just aesthetically more pleasing. The black blokes look like black blokes and not just white blokes painted black.

C121 balls

Anybody know when these were first made ? Must have been around 1971.

These were the yellow balls, bigger than FF, smaller than F, with the crappy black spots on which stopped it rolling properly.

On the football kit, there was a stripe on the back running from left shoulder to right hip, just like the front.

Can't remember the Subbuteo version, but presumably the same.

A cassette case is no good. I use the tray from a plastic pencil case with a slot cut out.

The shot deflector isn't a training thing at all. Nor is the chipping ramp. If you were going to use these at all, you'd have to agree to use them in games. The chipping target is, probably, a training aid, but I could have rustled up something equally effective by taking the top off the coffee jar....
