Cheers lads. That was indeed very helpful. I'm just trying to get a clear picture of whats going on in the subbuteo/table football world. I suppose a person could give everything a shot and make his mind up then.

Old versus New.

Like I said earlier I'm trying to get back to subbuteo after 23 years away from it, and I see there's been a huge change in equipment and in the rules. Having browsed this site for quite a few hours now at this stage, I can see that there's a massive difference of opinion regarding old subbuteo play...

Thanks for the welcome folks. I'd like to mention that my wife bught me a football game for christmas because she heard me ranting and raving about my memories of subbuteo. It had nothing to do with subbuteo, it was one of those smash the players head down and off we go type! But because I had no Go...

Back to Subbuteo after 23 years and a bit confused!

Greetings everyone. I'm new to the site. Back playing a small bit of subbuteo after a gap of 23 years. I have my old astropitch and 2 teams from the 1980s. I recently bought 2 box sets on ebay, late 80s early 90s with the cloth pitches. But browsing on the internet over the last few weeks I'm amazed...
