Re: Ref. 294 Newell's Old Boys Machine Printed Version

To pick up a rare mint LW for around £100 is becoming very difficult. The price of the rare LW’s continues to increase and those teams that are in excellent condotion are selling for between £100 - £200 or even more in some cases. Good buys and bargains can still be found but again becoming more and...

Re: identification of 2 teams

The second team is Sampdoria, version from about 1992 or 1993. Short running version of a year at the most i think.

Re: Best light weight reference site

By far the best L/W guide is Subbuteo Italia. It has pictures of nearly every kit version/variation. And you will probably be surprised just how many their are.

Re: Where to buy?

love it or hate it, the best place to buy is ebay. Largest selection that changes daily. Prices can be up and down but you generally pay less than from a dealer. Study description and photos closely to avoid paying good money for damaged players.

Re: Are auctions dead

I think with regard to auctions on ebay, its going that way. Increased postal costs, ebay fees and their selling strategies mean if a item does not sell for a certain amount, the seller makes only pence or could even be at a loss. This applies to the lower value items, say under a fiver. And realist...

Re: vintagesubbuteossparesshop70s

So given what has been said on this forum about the bad Enay sellers... Who are the good regular subbuteo sellers? I am purely a L/W MP collector, I take no interest in the sales of Heavyweight teams and players, do not know what is genuine and what has been re-painted. And as it does not really af...

Re: vintagesubbuteossparesshop70s

Last year i sold a few heavyweight teams on ebay. One was a ref 21. And guess who bought it, iwanttobuyallyoursubbuteo, the buying account of anthony gilligan. Vintagesubbuteosparesshop70s is his selling account. He does have good feedback but i think that will change in the future.

Re: Ebay team not arrived

Probably is a case of the buyer not getting the price they expected or wanted and hoping to do a refund. Just keep pestering them, maybe politely let them know that you will leave feedback based on your experience, basically imply if you get your item and are happy you will still leave positive. If ...

Re: L/W prices

A lack of pictures of the outer box and 'sold as seen' stated in the listing did not do it any favours. Although the players do look excellent and the box, from the limited pictures does look at least good or very good. I was expecting anywhere between £200 - £300.

Re: Selling of my collection on ebay...

If I bought from you I would have bought L/W's and probably would have been at least 3 years ago, maybe longer. Your ebay user I.D. is the same as your I.D on here. Its a I.D. thats sticks in your mind and is easy to remember.

Re: Selling of my collection on ebay...

I remember often seeing your user I.D. on ebay selling, quite often, although not for a while. Probably bought from you a couple of times. List what you have on here for a couple of weeks before you sell on ebay. You could get to sell some teams and not have to pay ebays fees.

Never had an issue with this seller :) In fact, it's always been a pleasure dealing with him  Same here, Bought from him several times and found him a excellent seller, reliable, items as described, well packed etc etc. But i am a LW MP collector so fakes are not a issue for me. I know if i n...
