Re: OSC OS (Old Subbuteo Club Old Sods)

Flats are great to play with, however you need to practice to get the gist of the swerve and spinning totally different to 00. I have been privileged to have both seen and played against the greatest exponents of Flats over the past 40+ years. Seeing the likes of Dave Collett, Mike Dent, Kev Dyson,...

Re: OSC OS (Old Subbuteo Club Old Sods)

Very nice figures and to be honest they play better than the originals in some respects
I was going to ask how they compared. In what respects are they better, Ralph ?

Re: OSC OS (Old Subbuteo Club Old Sods)

Here come The Shaymen    First time I had had a chance to flick my new flats. I am not good quite enough yet to do them the justice that they deserve but they were nice to play with and were good when taking the shots with them in the final shoot-out - unfortunately my approach pl...

Re: Gullseye League Season 5

Need my beloved Argyle to win last match
They have a good chance, Bristol City are away at Bournemouth and Argyle are at home to Newcastle.

Re: Shipping from America

I've just secured a WW1 item from America: price £71.69, with tracked shipping of £39.54. Not looking forward to the customs slice ..... Though I'm hoping it's a price worth paying. Following Brexit we are all going to have to get used to the " customs slice ", something not experienced in t...

Re: Latest acquisitions

I am a Halifax lad and the early 70s kit was one of my favourites. Attached is my Halifax town. I like the kit that much that I also got Steve (Number 9/Pendle Falcon) to make me one as a flats team and am looking forward to seeing if playing with these can improve my results! [/quote] Love those fl...

Re: Suggestions for solo play

I first started by playing a complete 1982/3 First Division, which was great but didn't fancy doing another as its a long haul. Decided then to start a league of four divisions and carry it on from year to year. I've got 12 teams in each and the fun of this is that there is relegation and promotions...

Re: Brighton 1982-83 FA Cup Final

A very good interpretation of when the Seaweed thought they would look like Chelsea.. Up the Eagles Or will it be down ? I think you will stay up, but then I'm usually wrong. Very nice Alex, a variation on the one you did for me a few years ago in that you have put some of the red stripes in.

Re: Identifying Lloydie's teams

I come from Sussex and don’t repaint...please don’t tar everyone with the same repaint brush The population of Sussex is over 1.5 M, I strongly advise not avoiding every seller from the county. Do we have we an address for the Lancing repainters, its not far from me. No slur intended towards you St...

Re: Identifying Lloydie's teams

I strongly advise you and any other buyer not to buy from the Sussex area. Two renown repainters, I call such folk Fraudsters, from that area teamed up together, and purchased 10,000 original unpainted HW figures, along with boxes of bases and discs, from a chap whose Father worked at Paddock Wood ...
