Dickinson's Real Deal

Post by Gullseye » 06 Dec 2018, 12:23

Did anyone see yesterdays episode with the Munich ? A young lad came on with a complete Munich set, cricket set, boxed FA Cup and a box full of teams ( unfortunately we only saw a couple of teams). The lot was given to him by a relative and he accepted £250 from the dealer. I was screaming no deal.

The dealer sold the whole lot on for £550, a nice quick profit of £300.

True, but you would think now that we have the internet and its so easy to check prices it wouldn't happen.

Yep I saw it. You didnt get a really good look at the Munich but it appeared complete and in good condition. Bit of damp on the lid but overall looked very tidy.

I was more intrigued in the 'bag full' of teams we didnt get to see. There were a couple of boxed teams on show. A rather fine looking Santos and and ref 15 & ref 17 all excellent nick..

The cricket stuff looked good as well.

To be fair to the lad £250 probably seemed good. Trader was clearly no expert on Subbuteo either. He would have been delighted with the profit. Depending on what was in the mysterious bag of teams £550 may well have been a cracking deal for the buyer. Anyone on here wish to claim the spoils?
