Local Charity shop find...

Post by spudski » 27 May 2014, 16:41

....today... I must have stepped in Leprechaun poo recently.

This afternoon, I popped off to the post office to send a World Cup team to a forum member a nice Uruguay.

I walked past one of the local Charity shops and out of the corner of my eye caught sight of the distinctive Subbuteo green on a Stadium Edition box.

Not only that box set but also another and a few teams. HW's, LW's and Zombies.

This was the cream of the crop...unfortunately the ref 220 box I have is really battered and cellotaped everywhere...but the team is in good nick...

Thought I'd share...not without fear of people giving me grief with the luck I've had of late... ;-) :-\ :-\

:-\ :-\ :-\ It is getting embarrassing now...but like Gary Player once said...'the harder I work, the luckier I seem to get'... I suppose it's down to being proactive and looking and talking about Subbuteo. I'm also not sure whether there are any other collectors near to me right now... I know I've struck lucky though... :-\ But thanks for the replies...I like it when others show their finds...so it adds to the forum, so to speak. :P

Anyone know anything about HP LW's?

The Stadium addition seems to be French...has sticker and French Catalogues inside :O  It just gets weirder...

Anyway this team was in the bottom of it along with a HP Ref 175....

Any ideas fellas... I have no idea what team it is... one player has brown boots and hair...

Also Skelly...as you were the first to ask...yes, you can have first refusal on it, when, and if I decide to ever sell it. 8) Ok fella...

That's remarkably like the Aldershot I picked up a year or so ago on here and it was the general consensus it was a 145........but thats not a 145!

Not a England 2nd strip variation, or how about a 557? Could be too late for a hand painted LW like
It all seems very easy, this revolution game
But when you start to really play things won't be quite the same
Your intellectual theories on how it's going to be
Don't seem to take into account the true reality
