Can anyone tell me if the bases on these international teams are like the PLG bases or like LW bases? Cheers. It's a super offer. 33 teams for €55! I just paid €20 for one team on ebay!

The La Leggenda team bases are like LW bases. In fact, they are better to play with than the SSG LW bases :)

From my experience, I wouldn't use the La Legends bases for playing with. The players fall down too easily. I would recommend rebasing the figures to more game friendly bases.

I have been using the Waddingtons or Hasbro or 2K4 figures in the La Leggenda bases. Tight fit :) If playing the old way then they do play very well. I seem to get a good 30cm without the figure toppling over and it packs a better shot than the SSG LW bases. All my opinion though; it's up to people to give it a go 8)

So very similar to SSG LW bases but a stronger shot. That makes them tempting so.

My opinion, my friend, but also that of an Italian fella I recently chatted to  Give it a go. Best way to see for yourself. Change the figures to another type. Somehow makes a difference. They slide better, have the same curling ability, and definitely a better shot than the SSG LW bases.

I ordered the three new Spanish teams, and also a Germany team variation I didn't have, from We Are Games on 9th November and they all arrived today :D

The bases on the players are certainly different, and they have an insert to them (sorry not sure of the correct Subbuteo terminology for that!)

More surface area contacting the playing surface. The inserts are a bit loose on some players and stick up in the corner.

English on the back of the boxes. Will try and post some photos soon.

Ordered mine earlier this week from same company. Hoping they come before Christmas.

Thanks for the info flash. A few photos would be great. It's very tempting.

I'm rubbish at photographing Subbuteo, can never do the lighting.

Hopefully these pics show what I was saying. The Germany is an original figure, and the other three are the new Spanish teams.

Less "chunky" and more surface area touching the ground from the new figures.

Nothing wrong with that camera work. The Spanish bases look very similar to Superfooty, Parodi, Soccer 3D bases but with a slightly bigger 'groove' at the top. Can they curl?

I'm far from an expert, but they are similar to Superfooty (which is the only one of those three I've previously owned).

In my opinion, they aren't bases you would associate with Subbuteo branded stuff. But of course, it's whatever works best. I've not tried playing with them yet. It will be interesting to see how much variation there is between the two.

In terms of the quality of the finish, these Spanish teams aren't as good as the French teams that were released (Marseille, PSG, St Etienne).

That being said, it's great to have some new teams, as it has been quiet for the last 6 months or so. I can't remember the last newly released teams before these three - possibly the Champs League ones (which were just the same as existing teams and players a bit boring, it was only good for the CL licensed boxes).

It's a pity the new teams for 2017 have stickers instead of actual discs. The bases do look good though, more for the modern type game. Can you fellas let me know if you can fit other types of figures in those slots, and if the ball can be chipped easily with these new bases? Thanks in advance.

Oh I'd need new bases there. They look a bit gash. Plus the OCD in me would need uniformity. Don't suppose anyone on here removes and sells their PLG bases?

Is it the 2012 PLG bases and discs you're looking for?
