Italian minor leagues during the 70ies ? You can't imagine how many different kits were present at that time !!!
When I played football from 74 to 80 (I was so scarce that later I prefered to study) I remember that me and a couple of friend in my team imagined what kind of shirt would have been worn by our opposing the next Sunday.
At that time in Italy we hadn't the cult for the major teams replica shirts. On the contrary every team wanted its unique kits to distinguish oneself to the others !
My team played in blu shirt with two vertical claret/gold lines on the right (like the AS Roma colour), black shorts and blue socks . The away kit was simple and bizarre at the same time : dark green shirt, black shorts, blue socks !
I must find some photos for you Mark...
sounds lovely mate and yes i am crazy :guiness:

socks!!!!!!....thats a nightmare Ian

This ones a bit easier on the brush, same team mid 70s

Just a glimpse with the player on the front row left, to know the stripes aren't on the back of the kit...love it when that happens Mark :-)

The exposure of lignin to air and sunlight is what turns paper yellow - so it must be the same for card?

Probably how/where they've been stored over time.

That one I can answer; older Boxes up to around 1975 (the first splash logo box) were printed onto what is called a Box Board/Uncoated material and the paper fibres were exposed, in time the newer boxes became printed on coated material so the paper fibres were protected and also when making a coated paper you use bleach so the box is whiter in the first place.

Hence why some boxes go browner that others if stored in the same place, their ends the lesson on paper, I'm just working on manufacturing subbuteo boxes using a box board but with a coated outer, they will be ready for market in a few months and are going to be a little special as you will be able to have them personalised, gloss, matt, soft touch or silk laminated and foiled in up to 60 different colours!
Watch this space!

Different brand and or quality of board... they, being subbuteo swapped print suppliers for fun... now have you got a West Brom statue?
