That programme cover has bought back so many memories of coming home from football in the late 70s to read Roy Of The Rovers which was always delivered with our Saturday night paper. That advert was in it nearly every week for around 6 months.

Original below for posterity !

Odd as well the exact graphics Plymouth used are nearly spot on to the 1977 advert SSG took out in Shoot magazine, so someone has done their homework here...graphics dept at PFC probably

It was lifted from that advert for sure, but good to know they have gone back to the golden years for the info

Not a programme, but another league club embracing Subbuteo (Leeds fans fill yer boots) I think you can have Strachan, Speed, Batty, McAllister or Wilkinson

I think pretty much every football club use the 'Subbuteo image' in some form or other. Either in clothing, programmes, merchandise or social media. My lot use it in their twitter feed every match, showing the line up. You see Clubs every week using the image...it's very common these days, and great to see.
