Your favourite item in your collection

Postby Puffin » 29 Jul 2017, 14:44

So, what's your favourite item in your collection?*

This is mine; a 51/52 flats box set that my Mrs found in a charity shop a few years ago.

*It must be an item you own, or have owned in the past.

Post up pics, let's hear of your favourites!

I've got the earlier set which is my favourite item. Interesting that you have the two coloured ball which is quite rare, wish I had that in mine. Very lucky to find that in a charity shop.

Currently my favourite is a 1953-54 Super Set due to the fact that it is virtually mint as it came in the cardboard box it was originally dispatched in at the time. For me the plain cardboard box with the Subbuteo Sports Games sender is more valuable than the game itself.

Also have a hand written letter by Dad dated March 1947 to a friend telling him about this great idea he has for a football game!! 8)
Won't put a picture of that as it's bound to be nicked...not by anyone on here I am sure but apologies for being so cynical and untrusting. :lol!:

That letter would have to be the ultimate Subbuteo collectors piece, but something which I'm sure will stay in the Adolph family for ever.
