Looks a really good reference book Paul. (If of course LW's are your thing).

A Heavyweight version would be even lovelier.

Doing a HW one is impossible, think of all the variations, all the amendments made to teams by various International Distributors, and over 1,500 special orders, it would take so much work to do, and you would never get a definitive list. Which is shame as it would be a fantastic book.

no good bringing out a HW reference book .. as it would immediately stop half the pontificating on here and give the repainters x amount of extra material all in one book

Why stop at 387? They went up to 830 and beyond.

Thats something to ask the author, I would imagine its a logistical thing, think of the cost of producing a book twice the size of this one

and if he had tripled the cost to match triple the content would it still be commercially viable ? Maybe he will do further volumes ? Not my cup of tea but it looks like a quality publication

It is top quality Ralph, LW's not my thing but it is well worth a look, and a lot of work has gone into it.

Looks like an excellent publication!
If a HW version was ever to become available (and I appreciate the difficulties with this as outlined above), I would prefer a photo of a full team rather than of one single player. Otherwise it has the look of a 'spares catalogue.'

A HW reference book, showing photographs of teams is a project I'm working on.

I've been collecting photographs for a it, for a few years now. It will never be definitive, as has been spoken about in previous posts, but hopefully it will show many different teams in one large bound coffee table size book.

Finding the photographs and taking them is half the fun. Adds to a side of my collecting.

It will be a fair few years away yet...a project for when I retire maybe.

The problem with doing pictures of full teams is that they would have to be large to show the full detail, thus upping the cost of the publication.
Although I am not into LW's this is a superb high quality publication

Good luck getting over 2,000+ images Ian, its a job and a half, but a true labour of love, fun but frustrating at the same time

see lads if you stuck to sensible flat figures you wouldn't have these problems   I think the "originals" collections stands at 58 celly teams ... no square shoulders or card I don't like them much ...
