Which is the best of the new stuff

Post by Adrianf » 10 Mar 2018, 08:20

Thinking of buying a dozen teams to start a solo league of two leagues of 6 and looking for some advice on where to start. I don't want to play the new push Penny style and looking for something as close to the classic heavyweight experience as I can. Not bothered about having referenced kits as going to use local places as the team names.

Also any decent starter sets with pitches, nets and balls anyone would recommend?

Very common HW teams on ebay can be picked up for a tenner. That's the closest and cheapest way of getting the classic HW experience. ;-)

Other than that, Topspin and Santiago.

Original pitches are cheap as chips as well.

They were meant to be played with Adrian...and there are 1000's of common teams around. Ralphs offer is a good one.

Just having a clear out to be honest , I've got far too much stuff and the flat teams take up so much less room. Programmes and books I'll not part with in a hurry but some of the heavyweights have to go .. to make room for more programmes and books !!!!

well I still add to the programmes and books ,carefully like, not too much modern stuff programmes wise because they are far too big and full of crap too  only modern ones I buy are Burnley Friendlies/Cup Ties and any new grounds I might visit
