Reading this thread the whole concept looks very good. I particularly like the idea of random weather and balls that are adjusted to recreate different conditions. How is this achieved though? Does the ball that is used for boggy conditions have weights inside?

they started as Academical they became Academicals due to the large amount of people who clearly cannot spell or speak correctly and have been Academical again since 1965 ...

this is of course nothing at all like Hartlepool who adopted and subsequently dropped the S for a very different reason

How cool is that...and all for £50 :O  How do they make any profit on that?

Is that carpet around the outside to make it look like the crowd?

See page 2 of this thread, there are photos of the pitch there. Not sure what it's based on.

Just browsing the forum and came across this again.

Does anyone know if it is only sold through e-bay, or can you get one direct from the makers, and if so does anyone have the address?

Fick2kick is NOT Vintage-Days...he is a valued customer who posted on here some time ago to share his purchases...

Our products are not only available from ebay...most things are produced to order...Vintage-Days teams for the Wartime Football game come on green Image II bases/discs only...most of the teams auctioned on ebay are mounted on coloured bases for use with subbuteo...

Wartime Table Soccer is not Subbuteo...it is a different game with its own rules and products...nothing is a Subbuteo copy or imitation...we have the exclusive premissions of the Stefan Corda Company for the adaptations we make to their vintage figure...the game has been developed and built from the ground up...everything is either hand made/hand painted/hand finished...there is no mass production and we do not compete with the low prices that mass production affords...

the game is designed to reflect the era and the products/accessories are made from materials that would have been around in the 1940s but with some modern twists...

Our teams are painted to a realistc standard and come in unique hand made boxes...there are more than 80 team strips available plus officials...goals...balls...grass effect pitch & stadium surround...and other accessories that provide a complete experience of football played during the period 1939-45...there is a 5-a-side game 'Indoor Football' ...this is not a subbuteo copy or imitation either but is a faithful reproduction of the real game introduced in 1947...

A website will be available soon...
