London Gigs

Post by port » 17 Nov 2009, 20:01

I'm going to a gig at the HMV Forum London on Saturday and was wondering if i could get some advice off any of you who might live that way (if there's anyone)
I've been to London a few times in the past for gigs but i've always travelled down by train and stayed overnight.
This time i'm going in the car and will be travelling back the same night.
What's the car parking like around there.
I thought about parking on Euston and getting the tube to the venue.
Any thoughts on the best thing to do.

Cheers

you could drive to a suburn tube line and get a tube into town. As you are coming from Wolverhampton you will be coming down the m40 I presume.

There are several tube stations around the end of the M40 where you can park your car.

You can use Uxbridge Hillingdon and Ruislip, all these will get you into town in about 20 minutes.

I have used Ruislip on several occasions when going to a gig in town.

That's great,thanks very much.
Just a thought, what time does the tube run till, would i be able to get back to the station after the gig.
We are going to see Gov't Mule, they used to be a 3 piece band and were thought of as a Cream like band but after the death of their bass player they eventually became a 4 piece band.
Warren Haynes is their singer/guitarist and is acknowledged as one of the best guitarists around.
He also plays with the Allman Brothers Band and The Dead (Grateful Dead).
You can watch loads of videos on youtube.
