PULP -

Both the hit albums. Superb. " The Fear " sums me life up on an almost daily basis. Well done Mr Cocker.

However also been enjoying BLANCMANGE - MANGE TOUT. Side 2 is ordinary but Side 1, has got to be one of the best sides from the 80s. I'm talking vinyl obv
check out Associates mate, Japan, New Musik, Alphaville, and a French band called Space, also Flock of Seagulls....now wheres my hair gel :lol!:
fook it, wheres my hair? :?

WAY late on this mate........ I love Associates mate, have some vinyl here. My fav song by them is Love Hangover - 18 carat love affair bside, which is a Diana Ross song (as you know mate) , plus Japan - and AFOS - got all their stuff innit. Not fussed on Alphaville...except BIJ of course.

Smiths, Hatful of Hollow, on heavy play this past week, I find it a good one to work along to...

Which is better, the debut album or Hatful ? I think Hatful, as it's got This Night has Opened my Eyes, one of the best tracks ever.

Hey Steve

I'd probably say Hatful too. However, I've really fallen in love with "The Smiths' after getting the remastered vinyl.

Louder Than Bombs is recommended too! - TNHOME is on that as well :)

Cheers. Moving on to Meat is Murder this week, I've got to do these things chronologically...

I gave MiM a whirl yesterday: my recollection was that it wasn't as strong as the first two, and on first re-listen I still think that's the case ...

One of the most incredible, moving and honest songs ever written or played...

" In a river the colour of lead, immerse the babys head, wrap her up in the news of the world, dump her on a doorstep girl, this night has opened my eyes and I will never sleep again " JESUS ! :O Even writing the lyrics makes me cry...
