Seen this...

Actually, though I hate Celine Dion with a passion, I thought it nothing like the worst...

What about Madonna's Amercian Pie FFS: :bad-words:

or Rolf's Stairway to Heaven :lol!:

Well I can't say I've heard the cover of Love Will Tear Us Apart by Paul Young from his first album, but the idea doesn't appeal to me either.

I can list you three GOOD covers I've heard:

1)'Sabbath's "War Pigs" by Faith No More
2)'Quo's "Pictures Of Matchstick Men" by Type O Negative & Ozzy
3)Police's "Can't Stand Losing You" by Feeder(this is on the B side of Just A Day:The single from the Gran Tourismo 3 intro)

There may be others if I find 'em....

best covers...hmmm

tempted to say Hendrix cover of Dylan's Watchtower

but then

Scissors Sisters Comfortably Numb really makes me laugh...I used to be an over serious Floydhead myself so I see the joke...

What about Sinead's re-do of that Prine song Compare 2 U...

I think if the original is very average and the re-do is good then it was worth doing

Good original and good re-make = why bother...

Good original and crap re-do = crime
