Scrolling through the channels, I caught a programme called History Shorts on BBC Alba yesterday - basically it's old Pathe News items from the fifties and sixties.
Any road, one of them was the 1959 TippKick Championships from Duisburg - first time I've seen the game played. I can't say I was impressed. Too much placing of the players, not enough players on the field and - hey - we complain about FISTF scoring with players in their own half of the field but these lads were scoring with the ball in their own half.

Bit of a laugh for five minutes but really no comparison to Subbuteo.

It's a great game fellas - honestly. You don't get the real footy feel like Subby (but you don't get that with any other footy game either...imho) - but it is really good fun. But each to their own

Re: TippKick on Telly
A group of us plays it every New Year's Eve. The majority are kids or teenagers though, and they're the ones who seem to enjoy it most, which I reckon tells you what kind of game it is.
