There's a few in there that i had when i was a youngster but there's so many more that i hadn't heard of. Very interesting and very informative. Thanks Aims, for posting. Great link.

I absolutely loved the Jonny Hotshot I had for Christmas when I was a kid.

The figure was huge and the goals enormous, yet you could still blast the ball into the top corner.

I seem to remember there was a "Roy of the Rovers" style cartoon on the back of the box.

The only bit that sticks in my mind was "a huge Russian bear of a defender kicked Jonny to the ground"

I suppose a little bit xenophobic stereotyping never did us any harm, eh?

Super site, used to have Fantasy Manager!

I could never remember the name of a game I had where the players were spring loaded, similar to this but not quite the same: http://www.oldfootballgames.co.uk/index ... eid=124690

I remember something similar to this, Flash, but I have an image in my mind that the playing area was a bit bigger and there were a few more players on the pitch than in the illustration shown in the link. Can't remember the exact name either. Unless I'm mistaken of course.

"Penalty", a football card game by Pepys is excellent. Spent many hours playing this, forty odd years ago. ;-)
Picked it up again a couple of years ago off ebay.

Yes more players, and the sides were perhaps more rounded than squared off. Used to play with a silver ball bearing!
