Best Pitch

Postby jefcam » 03 Feb 2017, 12:09

Was thinking of buying a pitch but not like the old cotton ones.

Which is the best to buy subbuteo astropitch, pegasus or zeugo?

I have no experience of a Zeugo pitch, as I opted for the Pegasus one, already mounted on a board. More expensive, but all the setting up has been correctly done for you. The pitch has served me well and I regard it as having been very good buy.

At present I have placed a cotton pitch on top of it, and the playing surface is still fine, so that option is also possible.

Whichever pitch you opt for, good luck for when you get started.

Best pitch for me, in “modern game”, are the old Pegasus (with longer “hair” if I can say so than the new ones) but ONLY with dry weather. I like the Extreme, very regular at any time, but for me maybe a little too much of “ice skating”, I like more friction, it depends what you like… When I play in Extreme I just give polish once and I have for 4 or 5 games, no kidding, its outer lines are cool to have though.
