Winged shorts figure in hw base

Post by Jon Rosten » 19 Dec 2018, 18:30

Picked up this little beauty today
It’s mint

Reason for posting is bizarrely one of the figures is the winged shorts style that’s normally only in a moulded base
I’ve never come across this figure style in a standard hw base
Has anyone else ?

Beautiful team.
I often have seen winged players with the bar under the feet, but never got one in my hand.
But they exist !!!

Great team Jon...lovely find.

I've found winged short players on bar in Football Express teams before as well.

yes it was a complete surprise because in a job lot of 13 teams 10 were overpainted

another forum member has some ref 46 spares in WS.

btw this hungary team must be right on the cusp of HW/OHW change as the label iks surely from 1966 WC issue not 1970 or beyond - the font is 66

Correct Jon...

It's odd when you think that SSG would have paid to have the winged shorted figure produced on a bar. Not cheap. Moulded and on bar...probably the one figure we see least of.

Here you go mate...in all it's glory.
