Ref 78. Shade of Green

Bought a original kids collection of subby this week. All from around 1970/71 with some pre decimal price stickers and the low price 49p early post decimal .

Nothing spectacular amongst them but found this interesting, it is a really dark green. Anyone else got one this dark

Happy its right had all his childhood league papers and his childhood list of teams which included this one

It's an overpainted team mate...not SSG original. Most likely a ref 154 or 8.

Didnt even cross my mind as shop labels all same etc. wonder why they bothered overpainting this team

Mind you I reckon he might have been a Coventry fan which would explain it. Must get brain in gear
