Transportable holiday pitch

Postby Cambuur » 26 Jul 2015, 20:51

Hello

For holiday use, I made a easy to transport pitch. Based on grass carpet, on the sites I added a thick rope, to prevent the ball and players falling off the table.
The goals are kept in place using velcro.

Nice job and great fun. Good idea to have rubber backing.

That's amazing !

Brilliant idea, perfectly executed :D

The carpet looks more like real grass than any other pitch I've ever seen, too !

Looks brilliant, great job . . How does it play in terms of speed and roll?

The pitch is a bit rough. So it is hard work because the footballers are not gliding very fast.
I prefer to use the large football in this game.

Is it a door mat?

I took a cheap grasscarpet found in a supermarket (in spain) for 7 euros.
The goals are form the barcelone subbuteo set that is also sold in Spain in toy-shops.
I used a rope for fencing, so that the ball and players stay on the field.

the grass mat can be found over here in Aldi Stores, you can cut the level of the grass by using hair clippers.

Get a plank of wood and cut stripes across the pitch, grade 1 from left to right and grade 2 from right to left and get that "just mown" professional look :lol!:
