The new playing surface looks good, as does the new roof but the ground has lost a little something at the end behind the goal eh?
I like Metcalfe kits too... but cutting the windows I can do without :-)

Yeah, shame to lose the terrace, but it was either that, or lose one of the railway lines. Hopefully, once I've added a bit more to it and added the spectators - it'll look the part.

Cheers! I had to trim down the borders and remove several inches from the playing surface by cutting along several of the pitch markings then gluing them down (felt like a carpet fitter). You can't see the cut lines and it plays well, plus I'm pleased with the extra space. It'll do until I find the time to have a go at making my own pitch.

In hindsight it was a mistake starting such a big project with a smaller pitch in mind. At the time I though it was the best option for combining Subby with the railway layout. But after a while playing on a smaller surface it just wasn't doing it for me. Big lesson learned!

So what are the dimensions of your playing surface now?

It's lost about 2 inches in the length and width from the playing surface

very nice indeed, has a real old school feeling with the football ground having to fit in with the town surrounding.
Similar to the old Brighton Goldstone ground being once a farmers field.

Now being a retail park. The house owners who overlooked the ground, used an old restrictive covenant to block the ground redevelopment. They now overlook Burger King, Nando's, TK Maxx etc. I often wonder what they would have preferred.

Looking good, comes to life when the supporters arrive. Those standing fans from China are good value, although the painting is really poor it provides a starting point to work on.
Would you know where these standing fans are available or what to search for etc?

What goals are you suing in the top 4 pictures?
They look a lot smaller than mine, and more to scale. Can you please let me know some details about them?

They're metal 5-a-side 'New Wembley' goals. Available here:
