I have thought the same thing about the spectators I will leave that until the very end and I intend to comision somebody to create the two replica teams, I tried but its too fiddly.

Paul you are spot on there, I have already built the church for the corner (and then rebuilt it after I accidently stuck it to the mounting board) Just needs painting and then I can add the wall. I have my eye out for a cheap square watch that looks as close to the real thing as possible or even a really small clock face. Something will come up :-)

Attention to detail. Proper mint stuff mate, can't wait to see more photos, would you intend to build your replica Goodison with the intention of being able to play matches.

ed, look at plastrut for beams etc and plastikard for a4 sheets of plastic. raid model railway shops as subby is 00 guage, you will be amazed where bits will turn up. Scratchbuilding is a art form but very satisfying

wow the church and the wall brilliant... I used to go in there for a cup of team before the match back in the 80s. Look forward to seeing it.. Don't forget the basic digital scoreboard at the Park End

Good work mate.

Thanks, I will take a look as I am going to need something manageable for the roof atleast, It's something I have been struggling with so I had put it to one side for now. Something like this could be the answer

Yes, it's the nostalgia that got this whole thing started. I do think sometimes if I had just built the current Goodison Park I could have finished it already :-).

To be honest I have already tried it and the middle section of the Subbuteo scoreboard does the job perfectly for the old score board and the rest of the frame is the perfect size to start the wall behind the terracing. If you put this against the retro green and tan grandstand it covers the bottom tier leaving the top seating exactly as the Park End used to be. Again it is then just getting the roof and filling the corners right

At the moment I can still play casual matches and I hope to be able to use it especially with family and friends get togethers. But its main function is to have in my office at home (which isnt that big so I may need a rethink but the idea was to just look at it when I am stressed so attntion to detail is pretty important to me)

I will also put a Where's Wally in there amongst all the fans so I can challenge people to find it and maybe a few other suprises

Instead of getting into the finer details of the stands, I have started on the main stand to get the main structures in place
