still amazed at the poor ground Wacker Berlin has/had
There are a hell of a lot of semi pro clubs in the Berlin area, some very Eastern Bloc style grounds to be seen still
there was a whole qualification league set apart JUST for the teams in Berlin mate back in the day up till 1963
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oberliga_ ... 2%80%9363)

a quick example would be Minerva Berlin
tidy ground too

Great photo,s Mark.
When I was there a couple of years ago, managed to visit 8 grounds, some of the East German ones, are still the same, very old building work and style, others are the new, 'Template' ones. was only there for 3 days, and got to see BFC Dynamo and Hertha play.

There are still a lot of the old regimes buildings there, empty, but you can walk around them.
You can just imagine it, some one shouts Shoot out of a window, the players does or he is shot

Lovely teams mate...Ian's Dresden inspired me to get my brush out first thing this morning. Mixture of SSG, Topspin and Santiago ;-)

Cheers Ian,
that Dresden kit has proved to be a good seller, especially to Italy

Lovely teams there Paul....and a great looking Dresden Ian. Super.

I came across a rather interesting magazine in WH Smiths today. I havent seen it before but I rarely go to Smith's these days. It's called 'Football Weekends'.

I got issue 15 today....its been going for about 18 months. What a cracking read and loads of great pics of stadiums (both grand and modest).

Here's a link
http://www.footballweekends.co.uk/

It got me thinking of my trip to Lisbon last year. I was with my wife and a few friends so didnt have too much free time for myself but i did get to see a few of the local grounds.

First i saw Estadio Pina Manique...the modest home of Casa Pia currently in the 3rd Division. I only saw it from the roadside as the highway to Estoril (where i stayed for first part of the holiday) passed by and you got a good view looking down to the stadium. Very modest with what looked to be an old running track.
